Police Surgeon Karachi Dr Summaiya Syed on Wednesday said that the minor boy, whose lifeless body was left by two identified suspects at a Karachi hospital, was raped and had bruise marks on his body.

Earlier today, two car-borne suspects left the body of the minor outside the Jinnah Hospital in Karachi. Initial reports showed that the victim, identified as 6-year-old Rawal, had injury marks on his head and face.

Witnesses said that the driver of the car hit the security guard of the hospital while fleeing.

Later, the brother of the victim, a resident of Karachi’s Qayyumabad, arrived at the hospital and confirmed that Rawal had left home around 10:30 am in the morning.

He went on to add that he came to the hospital after getting a call that the body of a boy had been brought to the hospital

The police surgeon said that the postmortem report of the body has revealed several bruises and injury marks including fresh and old ones on the victim’s body.

However, she said that all the bones of the body have remained intact. The medical team has obtained samples from different sections of the body for further examination.

Police said that the body had been moved to the Chhipa morgue after completing legal procedures while raids were being carried out to arrest the suspects.
