Cipher trial adjourned till November 23 due to stay order
The trial in the cipher case was adjourned once again on Tuesday due to a stay order issued by the Islamabad High Court against the jail trial.
Judge Abu Alhasnaat Zulqurnain arrived at the Adiala Jail for the hearing early on Tuesday. Imran Khan’s three sisters and wife, Bushra Begum, also arrived in the hearing along with Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s wife and dughters.
Khan and Qureshi’s lawyers also held a discussion with the two politicians before the hearing began.
However, the hearing was adjourned after the court was told that the stay order issued by the IHC against the jail trial was extended.
Judge Zulqurnain is also set to hear three terrorism cases registered against him in Islamabad. Police had registered two cases against him in Bharakahu police station and another in Khanna police station.
