Policeman dismissed for criticising Afghan refugee operation
A policeman was dismissed in Quetta for violating discipline and criticising the police operation against Afghan refugees.
The report by police identified the policeman as Head Constable Daud Kasi who was stationed at Police Line Headquarter in Quetta.
Police said that Kasi appeared in a TikTok video recently in which he used foul language against the department.
In addition to his words, he also violated the law by wearing the ranks of an assistant sub-inspector while he was actually a head constbale.
The video was recorded while the police operation against Afghan refugees was underway and involved Kasi severely criticising the matter.
The police report says that the constable was issued a notice and given a chance to explain himself. However, during his hearing he could not justify his actions.
It was also revealed that he had been dismissed from service before.
The police dismissed Kasi on the recommendation of the inquiry officer for violating discipline. The report said that his actions had a negative impact on the force.
