Maulana Fazlur Rehman unanimously elected chief of JUI-F for five years
Maulana Fazlur Rehman was unanimously elected the chief of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam (F) in the party’s central assembly and general council meeting on Sunday.
Rehman has been elected as chief (Ameer) and Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hydari as the general secretary for the next five years.
JUI-F spokesperson Muhammad Aslam Ghori said that the details of the ongoing decisions will be released later.
During the meeting held at the Mufti Mahmood Markaz in Peshawar of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the chiefs and administrators of the four provinces along with Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir presented reports in the meeting.
The JUIF’s leadership expressed satisfaction with the reports submitted by the provincial chiefs and instructed them to speed up their preparations regarding the elections.
The participants of the meeting also discussed the current political situation of the country while the party’s campaign in support of the Palestinians was also reviewed.
