Ex-PTI leader Ali Nawaz Awan joins Tareen’s IPP
Former MNA Ali Nawaz Awan parted ways with the PTI and joined the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party on Sunday.
Awan met IPP Patron-in-Chief Jahangir Khan Tareen and President Abdul Aleem Khan when he announced joining the party.
PTI on November 9 claimed that Awan had been abducted. In a post on X, PTI said that the alleged abduction happened in Battal, Mansehra.
IPP Additional Secretary General Aun Chaudhry and Nauman Langrial were also present at the meeting.
PTI reacted to the announcement by sharing an earlier oath-taking video of Awan.
“Any statement or action being done after this is automatically under pressure,” the party account wrote on X.
After his alleged abduction, sources told Aaj News that he was arrested in the Mansehra area of Battal and handed over to the Islamabad police.
