Football legend David Beckham graced Wankhede Stadium, engaging in conversations with fellow Unicef brand ambassador and cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar. During his visit, Beckham took the opportunity to meet with several players from the Indian cricket team on the field. His presence at the match was part of a broader trip to India in association with Unicef.

In the initial innings, India posted a formidable score of 397 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 50 overs. Virat Kohli showcased a stellar performance, contributing 117 runs, while Shreyas Iyer demonstrated his batting prowess with a notable score of 105. Rohit Sharma contributed 47 runs before being dismissed. KL Rahul remained unbeaten at 39, and Shubman Gill played a commendable innings, securing 80 not out.
