Grammy Awards 2024: Pakistani American singer Arooj Aftab nominated for two categories
Pakistani-American singer Arooj Aftab has been nominated in two categories at the Grammy Awards 2024, as revealed in the announcement of the nominees.
Arooj Aftab is recognized in the ‘Best Alternative Jazz Album’ category for her work on the album ‘Love In Exile.’
She has also been nominated in the ‘Best Collaborative Music Performance’ category for her single ‘Shadow Forces’.
Arooj celebrated the news by sharing a screenshot of the nominations on her Instagram stories and posted a photo with singers Vijay Iyer and Shahzad Ismaily, expressing her congratulations on the Grammy nomination.
The nominations for the 67th annual Grammy Awards have been revealed, and SZA is in the lead with nine nominations. Other notable nominees include Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Jon Batiste, Victoria Monét, and Billie Eilish, all competing with SZA for the coveted Record of the Year.
In a move that has surprised everyone, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also become an official Grammy nominee.
The Grammy Awards ceremony is set for February 4, 2024, and will be broadcast live on CBS.
