The ongoing war between Hamas and Israel has impacted big time to renowned burger franchises in Pakistan as their sales plummeted urged by social media campaigns.

Social media campaigns have started where social media users and celebrities urged people to boycott KFC, McDonald’s, and Coca-Cola.

On the other hand, the franchises are also using social media tools to regain their market. However, McDonald’s Pakistan tried to explain its position in the Israel-Gaza war.

Many social media posts revealed international brand users are now favouring local products. Fast food lovers across Pakistan barred themselves from global food chains like Domino’s Pizza, KFC, Burger King, and others and now finding taste in local eateries like Burger Lab, Clucky’s, Jan’s Broast, and Kababjees.

In significant changes, respecting locals’ wishes, Kababjee’s decision to remove international brand drinks from their deals was lauded by social media users.

As per campaigns, they were calling consumers that they have the power to influence political as well as economic decisions, as this results in revenue. Boycotting Israeli products can be seen as an act of solidarity with the brothers and sisters of Palestine.

A lot of other items like detergents, cosmetics, tea, and coffee brands are also being targeted for the same solidarity mission,

However, Pakistan has no brand that could provide coffee as an alternative to Nescafe, but grocery chain Imtiaz Supermarket has now begun manufacturing its own blend of coffee.
