World Cup 2023: Shadab anticipates ‘miracle victory’ in next matches
Following the disappointing cricket team’s performance in the World Cup tournament, Pakistan vice-captain Shadab Khan is expecting a miracle victory in the matches ahead
A press conference was held in India, in which Shadab Khan acknowledged that the team failed to perform in all three areas, adding that Pakistan has to get out of such a position to advance in the ongoing World Cup 2023.
Shadab Khan expressed optimism and stated that the criticism of his performance is on point, as the good bowling lineup is important to advance in the ongoing World Cup 2023.
Pakistan has failed to set victory against India, Australia, and Afghanistan, which made fans disappointed and forced PCB to assure cricket lovers that they could be successful in the next four matches which will lead the team to the semi-final.
Shadab Khan admitted to the underperformance of the team and said: “We will bounce back and turn out from such a situation.”
“We know how to escape from such a situation, and miracle based on belief, and I feel that we will have to start a winning streak from tomorrow.”
It should be noted that Shadab has claimed only two wickets in four matches during the tournament. With the bat, he has scored 74 runs in three innings.
On the illness of players, he said that it was not a factor behind defeat “We should accept that we haven’t played well and now we have to focus on performance as we entered in do and die situation.”
However, the teams need good performance in the upcoming four matches.
