PCB files complaint against Indian fans’ conduct with Pakistan team
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday filed a complaint with the International Cricket Council regarding Indian fans “inappropriate conduct” targeted at the green shirts during their match against India on October, 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The PCB has also lodged another formal protest with the ICC over delays in visas for Pakistani journalists and the absence of a visa policy for Pakistan fans for the ongoing World Cup 2023.
It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was met with boos as he spoke at the toss before the high-voltage game.
Later, in videos circulated on social media Indian fans were seen aggressively chanting when Mohammad Rizwan was walking off the field after getting out during the Pakistani innings.
The outrage from the Indian fans came after Rizwan dedicated his match-winning century against Sri Lanka to people of Gaza.
A complaint was also filed by an Indian lawyer with the ICC against the Pakistani wicket keeping batter for offering prayer on the field and dedicating Pakistan’s victory over Sri Lanka to the people of Gaza.
Vineet Jindal, an advocate of Supreme Court of India lodged a complaint with the ICC against the Pakistani cricketer.
