Three arrested in Sahiwal after hidden cameras found in bridal dressing room
The police in Punjab’s Sahiwal arrested three managers of a marriage lawn after they were allegedly found involved in installing hidden cameras in the bridal dressing room.
The arrests occurred on the complaint of Muhammad Arshad, a resident of Chak No. 94/6R, Sahiwal.
He claimed that the manager, assistant manager, and three others used to film brides using hidden cameras they had installed in the dressing room of the wedding lawn.
The first information report was registered against the five under sections 292 (Sale, etc., of obscene books, etc.) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Pakistan penal code.
According to the police, two of the five accused in the case managed to escape while three were arrested.
The complainant, who held the marriage ceremony of his daughter on the said lawn, told the police that he and his son, after hearing some noise went to the manager’s room where they saw the video of a dressing room being played on screen.
He added when he opened the door of the room, Munir Javed, the manager, was shocked at being daughter redhanded and while moving the gun towards them said he would open fire if they attempted to move.
The complainant said Umar Iqbal, who was also involved in the issue, destroyed all DVR systems on the direction of Munir.
When guests learned about the situation they became enraged and tried to catch the accused but only three were captured and two fled from the spot, he added.
The complainant claimed that the management of the marriage hall was involved in illicit practices for years.
