Ministry forms committee to discuss ‘pros and cons’ of student unions
The ministry of education has constituted a committee to prepare a report on the restoration of student unions in the country.
The 14-member committee will prepare a report on the pros and cons of student unions and submit it within 10 days.
The committee will be headed by the ministry’s senior joint secretary. It will include the executive director of the Higher Education Commission, the vice-chancellors of Quaid-e-Azam University, National University of Modern Languages, Fatima Jinnah Degree College, and the rector of the International Islamic University.
The committee will also include the principals of IMCB F-8/4, Commerce College H-8/4, and ICG F-6/2.
The committee also includes education specialist Ayesha Razzaque, columnist Ali Moeen Nawazish, an M-Phil student Kashif Khan, PIDE student Rehan Ullah, and NCA’s Fatima Shehzad.
