Karachi police have arrested a group five people including two women in the crackdown against drug peddlers, while 74 narcotics users have also been detained.

A case has been registered against all five namely Hina, Madiha, Raheel, Muhammad Naveed, and Ali Nawaz. The operation was conducted at Teen Hatti Bridge.

Police stated that two women among the arrested group were highly wanted by police. Hina has also been arrested two times in drug peddling cases registered in Supermarket and Mominabad police stations.

Meanwhile, Ali Nawaz, a jailbird is the right hand of the gang leader named “Madam Amma”, while Naveed has also been apprehended many times.

The police after registering the first information report against the accused began an investigation to find out the root of the drug peddling operation.

All drug addicts were transferred to the Edhi rehabilitation center located at Nooriabad.
