Amin Aslam, Sania Nishtar record statements in 190 million case

Statements from all cabinet members are being recorded

Former cabinet members Amin Aslam and Sania Nishtar recorded their statements in the £190 million case on Thursday.

The two appeared in the National Accountability Bureau’s Rawalpindi office and submitted their statements.

Both were questioned by NAB’s combined investigation team for over an hour.

NAB is recording statements from all members of former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s cabinet in the case.

Khan’s former Principal Secretary Azam Khan also recorded his statement in the case in July.

The case involves the transfer of £190 million from UK to Pakistan through a National Crimes Agency Settlement with Malik Riaz. The case was previously called the Al-Qadir trust case.

It accuses former PM Khan of collusion and corruption that prevented money meant for the national exchequer back to the property tycoon. It also accuses Imran of receivng land for the Al-Qadir trust in return, which is overseen by his wife, Bushra Bibi.
