Journalist and anchor Munizae Jahangir hit back against claims that a clip from her interview with Russian Ambassador Danila Ganish which concerned Imran Khan have been deleted.

Jahangir took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say that the interview is still available on Aaj News’ YouTube channel and no portions have been edited.

She added that the section where Ganich was asked if Russia agreed that Washington had hatched a conspiracy to oust Imran Khan can still be seen in the video around the 30 minute mark.

Ganich had replied that things could not be seen in ‘black and white’ but that Imran had acted ‘as a man’ by refusing to call off the Russia visit and it was a factor in his ouster. Here is the clip in question.

Videos on social media had claimed that the clip where Ganich had said Imran had taken a stand were being deleted.

However, Munizae clarified that she had always stood for freedom of the press and had always fought for it. She added that she had never been asked to delete anything in her 20-year career.

She added that she believed in clean journalism and would not like to be part of any party, whether in power or out of it.
