5.2 magnitude earthquake jolts parts of KP, Islamabad
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad on Monday morning, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre.
The quake’s epicentre was Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region with a depth of 184 kilometres and it occurred around 9:35pm, the earthquake monitoring agency said.
No loss of life or property was reported.
Tremors were felt in the federal capital, Swat, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Bajaur, Chitral, Mardan, and Malakand, according to Aaj News.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority in KP also shared the update on X.
Earlier this month, tremors were felt in part of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
