The Election Commission of Pakistan has decided to consult leaders of major political parties to decide a roadmap for the upcoming elections in the country.

The commission has invited Imran Khan and Fazal ur Rehman to appear on Thursday, Shehbaz Sharif on Friday and Asif Zardari on August 29.

Imran has been asked to participate in the meeting in-person or through representatives at 2pm on Thursday.

According to the letter, the items that will come under discussion include delimitation of constituencies, updation of electoral rolls, conduct of general election, election schedule and other related matters.

The ECP said that the meetings are being organised elections are organised fairly and honestly.

Imran is currently in jail after being convicted of corrupt practices in the Toshakhana case while Shehbaz is in London to consult Nawaz Sharif.
