A high level meeting of the Election Commission of Pakistan expressed satisfaction with the results management system which will be used in the upcoming general election on Tuesday.

The meeting was chaired by the chief election commissioner and included all four provincial members, secretary ECP and other senior officers.

The meeting was given a breifing about the result system which said that the mobile app will immediately communicate results from presiding officers to the returning officers.

The app will also allow the reutrning officer to immediately compile results wihich will be statistically accurate.

Follwoing the briefing, the particpants said thhey were satisfied with the system.

The topic of delimitations also came up during the meeting. The meeting was told that letters have been written to provincial authorities as well as the bureau of statistics. The relevant departments have also been enged in direct meetings as well as phone calls.

The departments have been told to provide maps and other date to the ECP so work on the delimitations can begin immediately.
