Tareen not happy with pace of IPP joinings
Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party’s Jahangir Tareen is ‘not happy’ with the pace at which politicians are coming aboard the new political party, reports said on Monday.
Tareen has now summoned a special meeting of the party’s leadership in Lahore discuss the issue.
The party will be attended by party president Aleem Khan, Firdous Ashiq Awan and others.
The party’s election strategy will also come up for discussion in the meeting.
Sources also claimed that more politicians from South Punjab are expected to join the party in coming days.
The party initially gained traction with a large number of former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf members signing up. Most of these leaders had parted ways with the PTI in the wake of the May 9 protests.
