The liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) dealers have announced a nationwide strike tomorrow (July 31) against the increasing prices of the gas.

All LPG outlets will remain closed until 12pm in the afternoon on July 31, LPG Association Chairman Irfan Khokhar said during the executive committee meeting of the association

The outlets will observe a shutter-down strike on August 5 and 6 across the country, he added.

Khokhar demanded that the supply of gas at government rates be ensured to consumers. He also called for stopping unnecessary actions against LPG dealers.

The LPGA chairman urged the authorities to refrain from interfering in the business of LPG dealers and officials.
