Mountaineer Sajid Sadpara summits Broad Peak without supplementary oxygen
Pakistani mountaineer Sajid Sadpara on Wednesday climbed the 8047-metre Broad Peak without using supplementary oxygen and Sherpas.
After summiting Broad Peak, the 12th highest peak in the world, Sadpara has now climbed all five eight-thousanders in Pakistan without using supplementary oxygen.
“#BroadPeak summited without use of supplemental oxygen & assistance,” he wrote on Twitter.
The son of the legendary mountaineer Ali Sadpara, he also climbed the world’s highest peak Mount Everest without the support of supplementary oxygen and assistance in May 2023.
Later in June, he successfully climbed Nanga Parbat without the help of supplementary oxygen.
Sadpara has also summited K2 Gasherbrum-I and Gasherbrum-II in Pakistan along with Manaslu in Nepal, without supplemental oxygen.
