Indian actor Alia Bhatt was the talk of the B-town after the teaser of Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was released on Tuesday.

Johar returns to the director’s chair after seven years with a family entertainer, which like his previous films, has an ensemble cast.

The one-minute and nineteen seconds teaser was shared by Shah Rukh Khan on Twitter.

“##RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani teaser is looking beautiful,” said in a post and sent best wishes to the film and the crew.

As the title says, Alia’s character is Rani in the family drama. The film would be released on July 28 in Karan’s 25th anniversary year as a filmmaker.

Just as the trailer dropped, Alia was among the top trends on Twitter. This was the second day in a row when she was trending after the trailer of Heart of Stone was released.

“Teasing you with a teaser for now… kahaani toh bas shuru hui hai abhi…” Alia tweeted as she shared the teaser.

Social media users shared her pictures and clips from the teaser.

It is a visual treat for Karan Johar fans as the film has exquisite sets, foreign locations, and a large group of dancers, and a family drama.

Many users tried to find different shades Alia tried to cover in her role as the character.

Some believed Alia did Shah Rukh Khan pose for the second time in her film career. She also did in the Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania.

Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan are playing Mr and Mrs Randhawa, the grandparents of Ranveer Singh’s character Rocky Randhawa. Meanwhile, Shabana Azmi is playing Mrs Chatterjee, the grandmother of Alia’s Rani Chatterjee.

The movie looks to be a hearty and wholesome Dharma film. The first half of the teaser is big on dances and celebrations. The second half is about the clashes and emotional drama of the film.

Ranveer and Alia were last paired in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy (2019). In addition to the main cast, actors Tota Roy Chowdhury, Aamir Bashir, Sriti Jha, and others are also featured in the film.
