Indian batters should learn batting from Babar, Williamson: Nasser Hussain
Former England captain turned commentator Nasser has said that Indian batters should learn from Babar Azam and Kane Williamson on how to play the pacers when the ball is moving around.
“Really disappointed with the Indian batters, their fans might come after me for saying this but I think the Indian top order needs to look at Babar and Kane on how to play the pacers when the ball is moving around. Both of them do it so late,” he said on Sky Sports after the World Test Championship final.
India suffered a crushing 209-run defeat against Australia on the final day of the final played at the Oval.
The Rohit Sharma-led unit lost seven wickets for the addition of 70 runs on the final day.
This was India’s second consecutive defeat in the WTC final. They lost to New Zealand by eight wickets in the inaugural season.
Australia thus became the first team to win all ICC titles. The Aussies won the ODI World Cup in 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015. It has also claimed the ICC Champions Trophy in successive editions in 2006 and 2009, while they won its maiden T20 World Cup title in 2021.
