PTI Leader Murad Saeed requests security from CJP
In light of security threats, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed has approached Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial, seeking enhanced security measures.
The PTI leader wrote a letter to CJP expressing his concerns regarding the failure of both federal and provincial governments in safeguarding the rights of the people.
He stated the persistence of a relentless stream of false and unfounded first information reports (FIRs) against him. Moreover, Saeed disclosed that he and his family have faced threats due to his vocal stance on promoting peace.
Furthermore, the PTI leader said there are plans underway to initiate action against him under the Army Act.
He believes that seeking legal recourse through any judicial forum would be ineffective. He urged the Chief Justice to ensure the protection of fundamental constitutional rights.
