A woman was killed and at least four people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Karachi’s Sharae Faisal, the main artery of the city, on the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Initial reports suggest at least three vehicles collided with each other due to overspeeding near the Drig Road Railway Station.

Footage obtained by Aaj News showed at least two hatchback cars with damaged windscreens.

One of the vehicles hit the curb and the pillar of a flyover. The second car landed on the other side of the road divider.

A motorcycle was also caught up in the accident.

The dead woman has been identified as Saba Bashir, 45.
