NCOC issues guidelines amid surge in Covid-19 cases

About 133 positive cases reported in Pakistan in the fresh wave

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) recommended wearing masks in crowded places after the recent surge in the coronavirus (Covid-19) cases in Pakistan on Friday.

The National Institute of Health (NIH) in a tweet wrote that amid the current Covid-19 disease trends across the country, the NCOC recommended following guidelines for the period up to 30 April 2023.

“Mask wearing is recommended at crowded tightly enclosed spaces including healthcare facilities.”

According to NIH data, the rate of coronavirus in the country has been recorded at 2.70 per cent, while 133 positive cases have been reported so far.

Earlier, coronavirus was confirmed in the staff and students of a private university in Karachi.

After which the university said that the virus is spreading again, all staff and students should follow the precautionary measures strictly.
