Hamza Ali Abbasi set to make TV comeback
After a lengthy break from acting, Hamza Ali Abbasi is all set to grace the TV screens again with the drama serial Jaan-e-Jahan.
The 38-year-old hasn’t featured in acting since October 19. His last appearance was in Bilal Lashari’s The Legend of Maula Jatt, where he put up a menacing performance as Noori Natt. It became Pakistan’s highest-grossing film of all time.
Abbasi announced his return on Instagram, where he shared a teaser of his upcoming drama serial ‘Jaan-e-Jahan’, produced by Samina Humayun Saeed and Sana Shahnawaz.
The other cast of the serial is yet to be revealed.
Abbasi’s last drama appearance came in ‘Alif’ which was aired in 2019. The same year, he announced that he was quitting acting to devote his life to religion. “I only did Alif because of the message it had about God or else Maula Jatt would’ve been my last project,” he had said.
