Lahore Qalandars lose Dawson, but get Rashid boost
Lahore Qalandars have suffered an injury setback ahead of their match against Quetta Gladiators as England all-rounder Liam Dawson has been ruled out of the remainder of the Pakistan Super League.
The all-rounder suffered an ankle injury during Qalandars’ clash against arch-rivals Karachi Kings, which they lost by 67 runs.
“Disappointed to be ruled out of the rest of the PSL due to injury,” said Dawson in a message on Instagram. “Thank you Lahore Qalandars for the opportunity to play in Pakistan again. Good luck for the remaining games.”
Meanwhile, they got a major boost to their bowling attack as Afghanistan superstar Rashid Khan joined the squad in Karachi.
After competing against UAE, Rashid immediately flew to Pakistan to join the defending Champions.
He is likely to be in action against Quetta Gladiators at the National Bank Cricket Arena on Tuesday.
