Chahat Fateh Ali Khan reveals his real name
Social media sensation Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, who recently was the talk of the town for his Pakistan Super League season eight anthem, expressed optimism in pursuing a career in the music industry.
Now residing in London, he shared his passion for music while talking exclusively to Aaj News.
“I feel very honoured this is all thanks to Allah that my three out of six songs released in the last six months got hit,” he said. “And especially, Ye to Pyara PSL hai has already got the reach in millions on social media.”
Sharing his career progression, Chahat said that his passion for singing dates back to 1982 or 1983 when he joined a music group in Sheikhupura. “I didn’t get the chance then so I continued to my studies at Government College and then in the Punjab University.”
He said that for the last year, he is pursuing singing as a career. “I already know that I’m a great performer, actor, model, and singer. So I decided to bring my talent to the screen.”
Commenting on his PSL8 anthem, the singer revealed that he was contacted by Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Najam Sethi’s secretary thrice, and even, the PCB chief also visited his Twitter account.
Revealed the reason behind changing his name, Chahat Fateh Ali Khan said that he made the decision when he resumed singing. “My real name is Kashif Rana. I changed my it about seven years ago when I started singing.”
