KARACHI: Authorities are continuing the search for the woman who is feared to have drowned at Do Darya, Sea View in Karachi.

Police said that they were notified of a drowning girl calling for help at aroud 3pm Friday.

Edhi Naval Services personnel on motorboats are taking part in the search operation.

The woman has been identified by the police as 22-year-old Sara Malik, a resident of Azam Basti in the Mehmoodabad area of Karachi. They said that she was a physiotherapist by profession.

It was unclear whether the drowning was accidental or intentional. The missing woman’s family ruled out suicide.
