US magazine names India as 2nd most dangerous country for tourists in world
WASHINGTON: The American magazine Sophist has named India as the second most dangerous country in the world for tourists.
Sophist, an American travel magazine, has named India as the second most dangerous country in the world for tourists.
A survey, released by Sophist, reveals that attacks and harassment of tourists have become commonplace in India. It added that violence against minorities and religious extremism is on the rise.
The report warns tourists to avoid visiting India due to atrocities on minorities, recently a female YouTuber was publicly harassed on the street.
The survey stated that hygiene and food quality are below the level in India. Approximately 1.3 billion population in India is living in extreme poverty whereas just a few families are super rich.
