Forget body cavity searches, get a champi at Pakistan’s airports

Minister wants massages to be offered free of cost

KARACHI: People who are taking flights from Lahore and Islamabad will now be able to get a little personal spa action while they deal with the stress of using the airport.

PPI reported on Wednesday that the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to install massage chairs at these two airports. It was not immediately clear how the chairs would be able to offer the champi part of the massage promised.

According to a CAA notification on Wednesday, the massage chairs will be installed at the domestic and international departure lounges. The move appeared to be aimed at relieving long flight stress or that of delays.

The service is free.

It appears that the project is the brainchild of Minister for Aviation Khawaja Saad Rafique.
