For Islamabad citizens, the security protocol has not been finished yet. The next two weeks would be difficult for them and they were advised to call 15 to have the “latest update” about the highways before travelling.

This is what the Islamabad Police Twitter thread said on Monday. Security would be tight at the entry and exit points of Islamabad from today (Monday) for at least two weeks.

“Islamabad citizens, students, and patients might have to face difficulties,” the police said in a Twitter thread on Monday.

This comes after PTI leader Pervez Khattak in an interview with a private news channel said that his party would block the entry and exit points of the federal capital from Monday. He added that the long march would start in all districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday.

Earlier, the police called back the FC and Sindh Rangers personnel for security after Imran Khan’s announcement to resume the long march on November 8 in Wazir—from the point where he was shot.

It warned that action would be taken against those who protest without permission in the capital city.

“Roads will be open for national and international guests from the Islamabad International Airport. Unhindered access to the airport is important,” the police said, adding that the federal law enforcement agencies would monitor the access routes to the airport and the motorway.

“All political friends are requested to protest at the designated place with permission from the administration.”
