Laal Singh Chaddha, an Indian remake of Tom Hanks’ Oscar Award-winning film Forest Gump, has recently been released in theatres all over the world thanks to Paramount Pictures. Kareena Kapoor and Aamir Khan play the key characters in the film.

The screening of Indian films has been banned in Pakistan for the last three years due to escalating tensions between the two nations over occupied Kashmir. However, there have been ongoing rumors that this movie might be released in Pakistan.

The Cinepax media group is said to be importing the film. Movie fans are thrilled by this news and can’t wait to watch something besides local and Hollywood productions.

The Cinepax media group’s general manager, Saad Baig, stated that they have submitted an application for the NoC for the film. An NoC is a “no-objection certificate.”

The Central Board of Film Certification and the Sindh Board of Film Certification, on the other hand, denied any such development. A representative of the Federal Information and Broadcast Ministry clarified that no Indian film will be released, stating that Aamir Khan’s project is an Indian film and that the Ministry did not grant any NoC for the distribution of the film in Pakistan in accordance with their policy.

The film was released worldwide yesterday and has already received a lot of criticism, with some saying that “the worst part about the film was Aamir Khan.” The movie had the actor’s weakest box office debut in the previous 13 years. The occupancy rate for the morning shows was reportedly only around 15%. The industry has been shocked by the reaction to the release as 1,300 events were canceled and reduced as a result of low attendance.
