DERA GHAZI KHAN: A foreign national visiting Pakistan was raped, allegedly by her host, at the Fort Munro hill station in southern Punjab, Aaj News reported on Tuesday.

The woman, a dual national of Germay and USA, reported the crime through a diplomatic mission. She named two individuals in her complaint to the Fort Munro police station.

According to the first information report (FIR), a copy of which is available with Aaj Digitial, the victim said she was raped by one Muzammil Shahzad Sipra of Rajanpur on the night of July 17-18 while she was staying at a local hotel in Fort Munro.

The woman came to Pakistan three weeks ago and was residing with her fiancé in Lahore.

She was invited to Rajanpur by the accused. The two had known each other for seven months. In the incident report, it is stated that the victim spent five days with the family of the accused. She then shifted to a hotel, where she says the accused raped her.

The FIR adds that the accused shot a video of a 'forced physical encounter' with Azaan Khosa of DG Khan. Sipra was using the video for extortion purposes, it states. The FIR has been filed under Section 376 of the PPC that deals with rape.

The complaint added that the victim was receiving threatening calls from Sipra's family.

The Border Military Police and the district administration arrested the accused within hours of receiving the complaint, said the police.
