Lawyer-turned-comedian Faiza Saleem appeared on Aaj Entertainment’s “The Couple Show” with her husband, Abuzer Mohsin. The couple shared their love story with hosts Aagha Ali and Hina Altaf.

Before spearheading her career as a comedian and actress, Saleem had been a lawyer. She gained her bachelor’s degree from SZABIST, which was where she met her husband. The couple tied the knot in 2018.

“We met when we were studying law,” Mohsin said. “She was my junior.”

The couple met through some mutual friends. Mohsin said that he fell for her when they first became friends while Saleem didn’t seem to appreciate his presence all that much.

“I used to get irritated,” Saleem said, laughing. “Like, why am I receiving his phone call?”

Saleem said that it was Mohsin’s persistence that won her over in the end.

The 31-year-old star has received much acclaim for her work in the media. She is the founder of the first female comedian group called the “Khawatoons”. She also models plus-size clothes in order to promote a message of body positivity. Recently, she was a part of the “Hum Sab Ajeeb Se Hain” series, released by Aaj Entertainment.
