LAHORE: The bodies of a brother and sister were found hanging in their house in the Data Darbar area of Lahore on Thursday night with police not ruling out foul play.

The victims include a 30-year-old man and his 25-year-old sister. According to the police, the woman was married and had a child.

Data Darbar police arrived at the house after a call was made to the helpline.

The body of the 30-year-old was found hanging on the ground floor of the two-storey house.

While combing the crime scene, the police found the body of his 25-year-old sister hanging in a room on the upper floor of the house.

Neighbours told the police that the siblings had recently moved to the area.

An investigation has been launched, with police saying that the woman’s husband would be questioned in connection with the case.

Police added that they would have more information once they have the post-mortem report. Along with their investigation, it would help the police determine whether it is a case of murder that is being made to look like a double suicide.

Police also didn’t rule out the possibility of murder-suicide.
