The Abbottabad Club recently displayed books in its library, which had been locked up ever since the British left the continent.

The Abbottabad Club was created in 1880, at least 60 years before the partition. Therefore, it has great historical and cultural value.

Recently, books from the pre-partition period were discovered in the club’s library and were put on display for the members. These books were last borrowed in 1944.

The books included “The Legacy” by British writer Laurence Meynell, published under the pseudonym Robert Eton. This book is a work of fiction and follows the story of a small-town committee that has to deal with 20000 pounds left by an old lady at their discretion.

Aside from this novel, a large number of books from different genres were displayed in the shelves of the Abbottabad Club’s library.
