CTD arrest ‘terrorists’ allegedly involved in Karachi explosions
KARACHI: Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in a joint operation with intelligence agencies arrested four suspects allegedly involved in terror activities during separate raids in Karachi.
A CTD spokesman said that two out of the arrested suspects were allegedly involved in Saddar and Bolton Market explosions and were also involved in the murder of the brother of a government officer in Larkana.
“These two terrorists are associated with a separatist outfit and are arrested from Kashmir Road,” he said, adding that both of them were associates of Dilbar Ali, a policeman who joined the organization five years ago, and were also involved in anti-Pakistan activities on social media.
He said the third suspect was arrested from Maripur area of the metropolis. The spokesperson said that the suspect, identified as Muhammad Naeem alias Mama, was a member of Lyari gang war.
CTD spokesman said that the fourth suspect identified as Muhammad Arif was allegedly involved in target killing and was associated with Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L). He said that the suspect was a member of Shah Faisal sector.
