Electoral reforms: The National Assembly of Pakistan has passed the Elections (Amendment) Bill 2022. Under the amendments, electronic voting machines (EVMs) will not be used in the next general elections. The bill also bars overseas Pakistanis from voting. Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar says parliamentary panel formed for voting rights of overseas Pakistanis. National Accountability Ordinance, 1999, to be amended as well.

NA Session: The joint session of parliament has been called for 4pm. Approval of electoral reforms expected. Another amendment regarding voting rights of overseas Pakistanis expected. Reference expected in favour of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik. Resolution against PTI's long march expected. Debate on state of the economy expected. Government to share figures on current economic situation.

Imran contempt of court: Supreme Court dismisses contempt of court petition against Imran Khan. The government had filed it against him after he defied court orders and told his supporters to reach Islamabad’s D-Chowk despite clear directions from the court.

PTI ends Islamabad dharna: Imran Khan was up Thursday morning, day one of the second dharna of his life, at Jinnah Avenue right outside Islamabad despite stiff resistance from the government. His demand: call elections in six days.
