This year, Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to bring along a long weekend, which is the perfect chance to plan a beach break with family and friends and make the festivities even more enjoyable.

It would be truly refreshing to drive along the serene Karachi coastline, away from the hustle and bustle of the city on Eid.

But to have the perfect staycation, you need to book the perfect hut.

Here’s a list of some Instagram worthy beach huts you can book this Eid.

Coco Bay – Beach Hut Rentals

Coco Bay beach hut rentals offer impeccable views of the Arabian sea from three different huts on different beaches of Karachi.

Two of their beach huts ‘The Cove’ and ‘Nautilus’ are located on Hawke’s Bay, and the third one called ‘Turtle’s Nest’ is on Turtle Beach.

Coco Bay huts can be booked in two times slots - in the morning from 8am to 5pm, or in the evening from 8pm to 6am. While the rent varies based on the number of guests, the basic amount for 15 to 16 people on a weekend is Rs 16,000. As for weekdays, it falls to Rs 13,000. The huts feature amenities such as running water, electricity, generator (without fuel), stove, BBQ grill, and Coco Bay’s signature swings.

While catering isn’t provided by the management, they’re happy to assist guests with vendor contacts. Food can also be delivered from the nearby Dua Restaurant.

Atiya Abbas, a frequent visitor to the Coco Bay huts, told Aaj News that the huts are located in a secluded area of the beach which gives a sense of privacy. Abbas first visited one of the huts in 2018 on an all-girls beach trip, and since then she has observed great additions to the huts.

“Over time they’ve also made the facilities very nice. There’s fresh paint, and they’ve put up lanterns, and lights. There’s also tap water in the bathrooms, running water for showers and all of that.”

While Abbas has had a great experience with Coco Bay, she did feel as if it might not be the best option for families with differently-abled members. “Accessing the beach might be a bit difficult for people with disabilities as the hut is a little elevated,” she said.

Karachi Beach Huts

Another option for fully-equipped beach huts is Karachi Beach Huts, which has rentals at Hawke’s Bay with all basic facilities including security, Gas, water and a generator.

Hut A-33 of KBH is a two-bedroom single-story hut, and a party of up to 25 people can rent it out for 10 hours for Rs 20,000. The owner offers 50% off on weekdays.

KBH’s Hut number 34, which is also located at Hawke’s Bay is a well-furnished three bedroom hut with air conditioning and attached baths. It also features amenities such as slides and swings for kids, a garden area, game zone, bonfire area, BBQ area, Kitchen with fridge, microwave oven and gas cylinder with a stove.

Beachgoers can rent out the place for Rs 65,000 for 10 hours.

Local Huts

Be it Turtle Beach, Sandspit, Hawke’s Bay or Tushan Beach, there are countless huts along the coastline. What’s convenient about these rentals is that families can book one on arrival, if available.

According to Zameen.com, the average booking price of these huts is Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000, and if you are browsing corporate beach rentals, then the prices can go up to Rs 4200 per person for 100 people minimum.
