ISLAMABAD: A group of PTI members that has extended its support to party stalwart Jahangir Tareen on Tuesday met with Prime Minister Imran Khan and requested to form a commission to conduct inquiry against Jahangir Tareen.

Prime Minister did not agree to the request of the Jahangir Tareen like-minded group to form a commission of inquiry.

During the meeting, the most like-minded group requested the Prime Minister to form a commission headed by Justice Sahir Ali, Tasdeeq Jilani and Nasirul Malik, to which the Prime Minister did not agree.

According to sources, the Prime Minister did not agree with the complaints of the Tareen-aligned group about Shahzad Akbar and did not agree with the demand for removal of Shahzad Akbar.

Talking to media after the meeting, MPA Nazir Chauhan said that we have raised concerns with the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has assured that there will be no injustice with Jahangir Tareen. We demanded to take cases from Shahzad Akbar's team and form an impartial team.

PTI leader Raja Riaz said that the Prime Minister had assured that the demands of justice would be met. Put reservations about Shahzad Akbar before the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister said leave the matter to me. I will not allow anyone to be abused, PTI leader added.

Raja Riaz said that the Prime Minister said that we will not abuse our opponents. We have confidence in our captain that he will do justice.
