ISLAMABAD: Fawad Chaudhry has assumed charge as Information and Broadcasting Minister.

Senator Faisal Javed confirmed that Fawad Chaudhry has been additionally allotted to the Information Ministry portfolio.

In a tweet, Faisal Javed said, “Congratulations Fawad Chaudhry for getting reappointed as Federal Minister for Information. Wish you all the best. Lots of prayers.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan had also hinted about changes in the federal cabinet and now after the Shibli Faraz completed his Senate term this march, the Information Ministry portfolio has been allotted to Fawad Chaudhary.

Fawad was the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting from 20 August 2018 to 18 April 2019.

Previously, he has also served in the federal cabinet of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani and Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf as Special Assistant for information and political affairs, and Political Affairs, respectively, between April 2012 and March 2013.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry had an important meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan in which he discussed about the responsibilities of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. NNI
