US: Coronavirus cases exceed 27 million
In the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the United States is by far the most adversely affected country in the world. The devastation caused by the flu bug in America is simply outrageous.
It has been over a year that the US reported the first coronavirus infection but the country is still unable to contain the virus. As a result, the total number of coronavirus cases in the US has exceeded a staggering 27 million, almost 17 million more than the second-most adversely affected country, India.
The US also leads the world in terms of the number of coronavirus casualties. So far, more than 465,000 Americans have succumbed to Covid-19. This figure is almost twice the number of viral deaths in Brazil which has the second-most deaths.
- 92,739 new coronavirus cases and 1,547 Covid-related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours in the United States.
