KARACHI: Assistant Commissioner (AC) Abdul Hanan Bhutto took action against profiteers on public complaints.

He ensured chicken, eggs and milk at officially fixed prices. People expressed their gratitude over availability of eatables in official prices.

According to details, Assistant Commissioner Baldia Abdul Hanan Bhutto on Friday took action against the shopkeepers involved in over charging of milk and food items in the market and imposed fines on some of them.

Talking to media, the AC Baldia said that providing relief to the people along with fines was the top priority.

"I am making efforts to ensure that artificial inflation can be controlled," he said.

He also asked the people to help the government by identifying such profiteers so that immediate action could be taken against them.

He also urged the people and shopkeepers to wear masks and strictly instructed them to follow SOPs in the market.
