Nov 5: World saw its worst day in the Covid pandemic yet
According to the statistics provided by the Worldometer, the total global cases have reached 49,019,575, and the coronavirus death tally currently stands at 1,238,892.
- A record 611,984 new cases were reported across the globe in the last 24 hours.
8,767 new coronavirus-related fatalities globally also made yesterday the deadliest day in the ongoing pandemic.

Alone, the United States reported a staggering 118,319 new cases in a day. Recently, European countries especially France, Italy, and Poland are also seeing record spikes in the new cases tally as the second wave of viral disease is wreaking havoc there. India is still unable to contain the first wave of COVID-19, as total cases are approaching 8.5 million there.
