To date, over 43 million people in 189 countries have been confirmed with novel coronavirus infection. The virus has been uncontrollable in several regions of the world. Eight countries have reported more than a million COVID-19 cases.

These countries with the number of cases reported, as of today, are given as follows:

1) USA: 8,889,179

2) India: 7,909,050

3) Brazil: 5,394,128

4) Russia: 1,513,877

5) France: 1,138,507

6) Spain: 1,110,372  

7) Argentina: 1,090,589

8) Colombia: 1,015,885

What frightening is that the countries from North America, Asia, Europe, Latin America all make the list of 1 million-plus infection. Most of these countries are in their second or third wave of coronavirus. Some countries like France, Spain are implementing lockdown restrictions again. While others have made up their minds about coexisting with the flu bug.

With new cases surging all over the globe, public health officials believe that it is only a matter of time before several other countries make the 1m plus list.
