ISLAMABAD: The Punjab government has written letters to the Federal Ministries of Law and NAB in Al-Azizia reference against Nawaz Sharif’s bail case.

The provincial government has called for action against Nawaz Sharif and raised questions over the medical report.

The letter from the provincial home department said that Nawaz Sharif s representative Atta Tarar submitted the report on January 14, 2020, which was sent to the medical board. According to the medical board, Nawaz Sharif s physical condition and laboratory report were not made part of the medical reports.

On January 18 and 29, two letters were written for Nawaz Sharif s latest medical reports. On February 21, Nawaz Sharif s physician, Dr. Adnan, appeared before the medical board via video link, but did not submit Nawaz Sharif s laboratory and other required reports.

The letter further said that when the matter was presented in the meeting of the Punjab provincial cabinet on February 25, it was decided not to extend Nawaz Sharif s bail. Despite repeated reminders, Nawaz Sharif failed to submit fresh medical reports.

Nawaz Sharif is not entitled to extension of bail and suspension of sentence, now the Ministry of Law and NAB should take appropriate action against Nawaz Sharif in Al-Azizia reference. NNI
