The number of recovered coronavirus patients across the globe has exceeded the figure of 10 million.

COVID-19 is still quite rampant in several countries and the number of cases is increasing at the rate of 1 million per week. This rate of virus spread is alarming. But on the bright side, the recoveries are also rising with every passing day. So far more than 10 million people have recuperated from the viral disease globally, which means 62% of the people who contracted the virus have defeated the disease.

The latest global coronavirus statistics provided by the website Worldometer are as follows:

  • Coronavirus Cases: 16,920,857

  • Deaths due to COVID-19: 664,141

  • Recovered patients: 10,485,316

Of all the countries, the United States leads the tally of the most recoveries. Understandably so, as the country has reported by far the most number of cases. Over 2,188,954 people have recovered from the disease in the US. Brazil and India are placed number two and three respectively on the COVID cases list so it comes as no surprise that they are also placed second and third respectively on the recoveries list. Brazil has 1,721,560 and India has 989,878 healed patients.

Many other countries, including Pakistan, have been reporting more and more viral recoveries every week. Pakistan has seen the number of new cases drop significantly and simultaneously the recovered corona patients have surged rapidly in the country in the past couple of weeks. 88% of the Pakistanis who got infected by the flu bug have fully recovered. Currently, Pakistan has 244,883 COVID recoveries.
