China has ended a two-month lockdown in Wuhan, epicenter of coronavirus outbreak, amid concerns of a second wave of infections in mainland China.

China sealed off Wuhan in late January to contain the spread of coronavirus, restricting the movement of 11 million people.

After the decision to lift lockdown was announced, roughly 65,000 people left the city by train and plane alone, within hours.

The decision to lift the ban has come despite fears of a second wave of infections. The Chinese authorities have subjected travelers to follow all precautionary measures.

Roads, bridges and tunnels were also opened, allowing thousands of more to leave by car and bus.

Yesterday, in an encouraging development, Chinareported no coronavirus death for the first time since virus surfaced last year in December.

According to country's health commission, China reported no Covid-19 death on Tuesday, the first time since it started publishing daily figures in January.
